Kamasi Washington Kamasi Washington & The Next Step

Kamasi Washington (Tenor Sax) is a talented musician who has accomplished much in his career, working with music artists from Snoop Dogg and Raphael Saadiq to Gerald Wilson Orchestra and Kenny Burrell. His talent has been featured in productions such as Lackwanna Blues, Playboy Jazz Festival, and The Tonight Show. He returns to this year's festival with his band The Next Step-- a group of musicians with accomplishments in their own right to light up the stage. .

Harold Land, Jr. Harold Land, Jr.

Harold Land, Jr. (Pianist), currently teaches at Alta Loma Music School as a piano teacher, continuing the education of music that his namesake and father, Tenor Saxophone player Harold Land, has created a legacy in. His own career as a musician includes playing with legends such as Bobby Hutcherson and Bill Henderson and jazz artist favorites Sweet Baby J'ai and UCLA Professor Dr. Richard Allen Williams, on recordings and jazz festival productions worldwide.

Led by Music Director Matthew Vaudrey, the SAE Drumline is a group of talented students that bring the rhythm using their own homemade instruments, proving nothing could stop the beat of their drums!

Welcoming Back Pomona's own, Comedienne Ms. Kat to the stage as the 21st Annual Pomona Valley Juneteenth Family Jazz Festival M.C.!

By day a "wild" mannered and funny Unit Coordinator at San Antonio Community Hospital in Upland, but on nights and weekends you will find her doing her unique brand of comedy at various community festivals and events, as well as various comedy clubs in the area. Whether she's doing her signature "Mother May I " or Ms. Kat, she is sure to "Keep Laughter in your Soul!" .
